Have a Vintage Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! I tried to find Valentines Day colored clothing from my online store for this post. Among them a 1920's dress, a 1950's dress, a 1960's dress, 1960's lingerie, and a 1940's bathing suit! Treat yourself to something special today, even if it's just some chocolates!

What a charmingly lovely roundup of Valentine's Day finds. I especially like the pink and white floral print dress (it's totally my style).

Thank you for your blog comments today. How exciting that you and your husband are moving soon, too. The mister and I will be living in Penticton (where I spent much of my childhood and some of my family resides) in the sunny Okanagan.

Indeed, the house prices in Van (and many surrounding cities) are staggeringly nuts these days, so I completely understand why you opted for a place outside of the city. While real estate prices have certainly shot up everywhere in recent years, there are still somewhat more affordable options to be found in locations outside of the hub of the Van area. I hope that you found one on the house you bought and that it won't be too tricky for you to adjust to life outside of a big metropolitan city (when I was really young we lived in the lower Mainland - Coquitlam and Abbotsford, to be exact, and I recall enjoying both places a lot).

While you and I will still be a few hours apart geographically speaking, we'll at least be B.C. neighbours, which is certainly delightful!!! :)

Wishing you nothing but the best with your move,
Jessica

Hi Angela,

How cool that you once lived in Kelowna (I've lived there, albeit very briefly, too, as well as in Vernon and the little town of Kaleden, which is located just outside of Penticton), and that you found some great thrift store finds in Penticton.

My high school (Pen High) was located on main street there and sometimes on my lunch hour (instead of eating) I'd quickly pop down the street to some of the second hand shops and hunt for vintage clothes. I found a lot of cute older skirts and tops that way, but back then wearing vintage wasn't nearly as popular as it is now, so I'd imagine that great deals on older pieces are getting harder to find. Nevertheless, you better believe I'll be hunting for them! :)

For sure, I'd love to get together if you're ever up our way. That would be such a blast!

Big hugs,
Jessica
