Have a Vintage Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! I tried to find Valentines Day colored clothing from my online store for this post. Among them a 1920's dress, a 1950's dress, a 1960's dress, 1960's lingerie, and a 1940's bathing suit! Treat yourself to something special today, even if it's just some chocolates!

1920's Dress Purchase

So I bought a 1920's dress yesterday! See 2nd photo. It's not in perfect condition and it will need a few repairs, but I got it for a good price. Plus, it will be a fun project to work on. I thought it would look really cute with vintage shawl, maybe a lace or silk one. Now if I could just find some shoes like the ones Clara Bow is wearing in the 1st photo!

Back from the land of Vintage Clothes

Wow, I'm so behind in blogging! I did put a ton of new vintage clothing, swimsuits, etc on my website though! If you would like more info on any of the items, just click on my link near the top left of the blog. Here are a few of the pics. There's a 1950's sun suit, a 1920's dress, a black 1950's swimsuit with red buttons, a 1960's dress with pink flowers, and a pink 50's party dress.

Besides that, I've been hitting up a lot of antique malls, which is probably one of my favorite things in the world to do! What can I say, I love old stuff. Oh, and I also picked up a depression glass powder container with a little deer figure on top. It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen!

Vintage Wedding Gown

I'm getting married in February, so I'm trying to decide which decade of dress I'm gonna go with. My choices are a short flapper style 1920's dress, or a slinky satin bais cut 1930's dress. I posted pictures of 2 similar dresses. Two totally different looks! I can't decide! I love them both! I suppose whichever one fits me better closer to the date :)

Vintage Clothing Deprivation

I haven't been feeling too hot the last couple weeks, so I'd like to apologize for the lack of posting. To top it all off, I tried to go thrift shopping a few times and haven't been able to find anything even close to vintage! Now thats depressing. My last couple thrift shop searches have consisted of wasting hours looking through racks of really bad 90's clothing, low quality halter tops and mini skirts. Maybe thats what caused me to feel not so good? Sigh. Hopefully the next couple weeks will make up for my lack of recent finds. Anyhow, check out the latest goods I managed to find on Ebay. A lace embroidered 1920's dress (talk about fragile!), a 1950's swimsuit, and a snakeskin 1940's shoes and purse set! Here's to outbidding my competitors:)

Vintage Flapper Shoes

Alright, so I'm on a mission for a full vintage flapper outfit. So far I bought these sparkling 1920's vintage shoes. I lucked out for sure. They're worn, but overall in great condition for their age, and they fit me perfectly! Finding a 1920's dress has not been as easy though. At least finding one for an affordable price, that isnt full of holes. Oh well, I'll keep searching in the vintage clothing stores, my dress is out there somewhere!
