1930's Fashion on Film - The Adventures of Robin Hood

I love this movie! Although "The Adventures of Robin Hood" is set during the medieval period, the costumes clearly reflect the fact it was filmed in the 1930's. Olivia de Havilland is absolutely stunning in all the bias cut, slinky, and glamorous gowns she gets to wear as Maid Marion. I also love all her beautiful headpieces and capes. Olivia has got to be the most perfect Maid Marion....

I often see period movies twice. Once to watch the storyline and once to drool over the costumes and the jewelry. (I've been doing this lately with Downton Abbey on PBS). I had forgotton of this was such a romp. Horray for a second look well worth taking.
