To All the Vintage Clothing Sellers

Does anyone else find it hard to part with these items?

My vintage clothing collection is getting ridiculously big, and I have vowed to start selling some of it.
Especially the pieces that aren't my size and I would never wear.
I can't help though, I still want to keep them!
It's like owning a beautiful piece of history, or art...
So my challenge is to keep half, and sell half.
I'm really gonna try...
*sigh* what a dilemma...

Been there .....
Don't get rid of your most amazing pieces . You will regret it,Even though I'm still pretty small at 118ish,I was about 100 be4 kids. I still have my Norma Kamalis and perfect 50's cocktail frocks. Luckily I'm raising a 10 year old that will soon fit into them(shes so tall).
The pieces that do not set your blood to boil ,BANISH them!

yep, I know what you mean. I have downsized my own personal collection but its still big ( and still growing of course). My social life is rather pathetic also but I just wear my clothes even if its just to do the grocery shopping!

I know what you are feeling.
I have the most beautiful pair of super pointy toed vintage (c.1960's?)shoes in good condition. But, they hurt my feet (surprisingly not in the toe but the heel). I should give them to a thrift store but I love them. I'd be happy to give them to a good home (free). I just want to know they are with someone who appreciates vintage.

It is hard. Especially as a clothing seller, I come across so many pretty items that I love. Not only clothing but little vintage odds and ends and damaged clothing too, I just had to keep it. After moving twice this past year, I did learn to downsize and let go of some things that I know that I will never wear or be able to do anything with.
I just looked at it as passing on something special to someone else to enjoy.
