1950's Vintage Sweater

I was browsing online today for vintage clothing, (even though I planned on banning myself from vintage shopping this week) and I came across this 1950's sweater. It looks like one of those old school team sweaters. I don't know why, but I love it.
Question: Do you think it's a girls or guys sweater? Or does it matter? I think I would wear it either way, but I'm curious to know.

From the looks of it, the buttons are on the right, therefore that would be a mans sweater. You know "Men are always right!" Or at least that makes it easier for me to remember the button rule! Nice sweater by the way.

For sure it matters not! I have been online adding to my beaded sweater stash of late myself!Yup most likely a boys from button placement.

What a great sweater for fall. Definitely boys, but one of those sweaters that ends up looking better on a girl.
