The lovely Adele Jergens. Wow, the dress she's wearing above is breathtaking.Since I recently posted the picture (a few posts ago) from the 1948 film "Ladies of the Chorus", I thought I should feature Adele. She was the blonde in the middle. Adele was only 9 years older than Marilyn Monroe, but in that film she played Marilyns mother!
Some fun facts about Adele:
She started off as a burlesque dancer when she was just 14 years old!
She was named "Miss World's Fairest" at the 1939 World's Fair in New York.
In the 1950's she became a bit of a b-movie queen, starring in films such as "The Day the World Ended", "Runaway Daughters" and "Girls In Prison".
