1930's Fingerwaves

My brothers wedding was last weekend so I tried my best at a 1930's hairstyle, since I wore a 1930's dress. My fingerwaves turned out pretty good. I just wish I had someone to do the back of my head since I could only do them on the side! I ended up pin curling the back and it turned out nice. Anyone else had any luck at vintage hairstyles?

Wow...you look beautiful! I'm impressed. I remember pin curls in my hair as a little girl in the 1950s.

Want to hear something funny? My hair is naturally wavy-to-curly, and I flat-iron it every single day of my life!! I have no idea how to set finger waves or pin curls, and even if I did, I tend to have 10 thumbs and 2 left hands, so I am quite sure I would never be able to do it. Letting my hair go natural, it's too unruly...so I just flat iron it and then use a curling iron to bend the ends under.

I like your waves, but as I said, I would never be able to do those for myself...even on the sides!

How terrifically elegant. You did a fantastic job with your finger waves, they look as though you lifted them straight out of the 30s, gorgeous gal.

Oodles of thanks for your lovely comment/compliment on my Coral Femme Fatale post this week, I really appreciate it.

Wishing you a stellar month of May,
