Vintage Wedding Dress Time

My sister is getting married in 2 weeks, so I've started thinking about vintage wedding dresses again. Unfortunately she doesn't share my love for vintage clothing, so she'll be wearing a modern wedding gown. I wore a satin 1930's gown for my wedding 2 years ago, but if I had to do it again I think I might go for a 1920's or 1940's dress. I posted some photos of vintage wedding dresses from the 1920's to the 1960's. There are such drastic changes from decade to decade, but I think I love them all! Can you guess who each bride or "movie" bride is? From the top is Vilma Banky in 1925, Claudette Colbert in 1934, Rita Hayworth in 1941, Jackie Kennedy in 1953, and Sharon Tate in 1968. I love Sharon's shoes!

Great blog. I was *just* thinking the other week how I wish I had gotten a 1950's/60's wedding dress to wear for my wedding two years ago! Oh well, my dress was cute even if it was modern.
I've just launched my own site devoted to mid-century modern style - please have a look!
