Recent Vintage Finds!

I got a bunch of new, or should I say "old" vintage items. Some I will keep, and rest shall go onto my website. I got a 1960's purse and 1960's swimsuit! Luckily the bathing suit fits me, so I am definitely keeping it! The vintage purse is in mint condition, made from vinyl and has a gorgeous lucite frame. I also found the type of platform 1940's shoes that I've been looking for! Unfortunately they're too narrow for my feet, so I'm not gonna keep them, but they're so amazing. They're such a piece of history, and so unique! Made during WWII, they even have a stamp on the bottom that reads "VICTORY". I just love the detail of the little houses carved out of the heels. I swear I'm gonna find some that fit me one day!

Gorgeous Lucite Purse

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I've been so busy trying to get all the wedding stuff organized! Anyways, I was just checking out Ebay for a vintage purse and look what I found! Now thats a wedding purse! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be bidding on this one, as it's already up to $325 and theres still 2 days left! Wow. It is beautiful though. Red glitter and lucite, I've never seen anything like it.
There's actually a silver little art deco bag I've had my eye on....I'll post a photo after I get it!

Vintage 1940's Purse

I just bought this 40's vintage purse, and I'm so excited! It seems to be in perfect condition. It's made from black corde, which was extremely popular during the 1940's. Corde was advertised during the 40's as the longest wearing of all handbag fabrics, and has a very elegant look. It's also lined in satin and has a cute double clasp :)

Vintage Lucite Purse

Well, I'm back from almost a week of antique shopping! It was so much fun, and I found some amazing items. I will post photos and details tomorrow! Today I wanted to talk lucite. Does anyone have a lucite vintage purse? Strangely enough, I had never seen one before. But I came across one yesterday near the end of my shopping trip, and it was absolutely stunning! It was a lucite 1950's purse without a handle, so it was technically a clutch. So beautiful. Unfortunately I had already spent more than I planned to on vintage treasures, so I couldn't take it home with me. I can't stop thinking about it though! Here are some similar vintage purses that I found on Ebay.

1940's Vintage Purse

I won this gorgeous 1940's purse on Ebay a couple weeks ago. I just received it the other day, and it's even more beautiful than it is in the picture. It's made out of this elegant silky corded material, and has three different areas inside to store things. Plus, I love the fact that black will go with almost anything!
