This movie is so cute. Marie Dressler, Anita Page and Polly Moran - what a great combo. Not only is it fun to watch the girls work at a weight loss spa, but they also show off some great early 1930's clothing. Lots of pretty 30's dresses, hats and hairstyles.
Anita Page was one of the beautiful, and very popular film stars of 1920's and 1930's. In 1929, Anita was receiving over 10,000 fan letters a week, second only to Greta Garbo. The craziest part is that over 100 of the letters were from Benito Mussolini! Apparently he had a bit of an Anita obsession. Who could blame him?
