Vintage Starlet of the Day

Probably the most important performer and producer in silent film, Mary Pickford. A fashionable and beautiful workaholic. By the time she was 20 years old, Mary had appeared in 176 films! She then started writing and producing. In 1919, along with Charlie Chaplin, DW Griffith, and her husband Douglas Fairbanks, Mary helped form United Artists. She was also an academy award winner, and the first actress to earn over a million dollars per year.
Fun fact:
In 1928 Mary got her famous golden curls cut off in front of journalists. It caused a media frenzy and became headline news!
