Vintage WWII Era Dress

Oooh I'm so excited! More vintage clothing for me! I just bought this sheer 1940's gown. So of course now I need a slip, matching shoes, and maybe a hat....

Hi. I just found this blog by accident. Gorgeous dress! I have had a passion for vintage clothes forever, long before it became popular and trendy. I think it is a childhood thing. My mother and grandparents used to take me trawling through op-shops and jumble sales all the time when I was growing up. But I think it was my grand-dad's eccentric girlfriend that sealed the deal for me. She spent hours dressing me up in her old clothes and shoes when I was little. Thanks Gloria! I particularly love dresses from the 1920's. My dream is to own a dress by Vionnet, or at least to see one with my own two eyes! I was definitely born in the wrong era. Anyway, it's a beautiful blog you have here. I look forward to seeing your next find. Good luck!

P.S. I adore Marilyn, but would I be greedy in requesting some starlets and 'dreamboats' from the 20's and 30's. Lilian and Dorothy Gish, Marion Davies, Clara Bow, Greta Garbo, Gary Cooper, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Rudolph Valentino? They were all so ethereal and beautiful, as were their clothes!

I have some vintage clothes/accessories for sale. Do you have any idea where I could post them for sale? I don't want to use eBay and I've already tried Craigslist. Thanks
